BrewHop Trolley’s Longmont Loop
Starting in May of 2016, Longmont Colorado got a new form of local transportation with the opening of BrewHop Trolley. The brainchild of locals, David and Radha Lewis, BrewHop started its unique business model of offering a customizable tour of the town’s newly emerging and blossoming craft beverage scene. Most people have heard of private brewery tours that choose the stops that you visit (and drinks too) or have seen the awkward bicycle contraptions drunkenly pedaling around town, but no one had ever seen a restored, vintage trolley rolling through the streets dinging its iconic bell at passersby. Yes the trolley has it all! Charming and modern with wood interiors, bench seating but also Bluetooth stereo and upgraded party lights!
And the brewery tour is genius because it puts the power back in the customers hands. The tour runs a continuous loop which returns to each stop every hour. So hoppers can choose where to begin their tour and board the trolley when it arrives. The next stop is completely up to the rider (stops are approximately 2-5 minutes apart) and if they are having a great time, stay another hour for the music, food and good drinks!
The price is affordable for everyone to enjoy a good time. Kids under 5 always ride for free and don’t forget to bring your brew pups along for the ride! Most breweries are dog friendly and the trolley has the cutest four-legged mascot you’ve ever seen. If you’re lucky, Stella might even be along with her papa on board.
So grab some friends and learn what so many people are calling the “best day of their life” in Longmont, Colorado and hop on the BrewHop Trolley this weekend!
